Supreme Decree 176 that creates the
Bicentennial Commission of Chile
The objective of the project is to contribute through
this international event to:
The promotion of the Bicentennial of Chile.
To motivate and to facilitate the participation of
chilean residents abroad or foreigners interested in visiting Chile to
participate in the commemorative events of the Bicentennial.
To narrow and to fortify friendship
between chileans and the people of all the countries of the american
continent.
To promote the natural and cultural beauties of
Chile.
To extend and to strengthen the knowledge that
children of chileans living abroad have about the country of their
ancestors.
To promote and to spread at international level that
the locality of Puerto Toro in the Navarino Island, is the
southernmost settlement of the world.-
To promote overland tourism as one more
alternative of relaxation, recreation and familiar coexistence.
Participate on
the events that our brothers in Argentina, Colombia, México
and Venezuela have prepared - they also celebrate 200 years of
independence.-
